| World Series Betting – Rangers’ Offense, Bullpen Will Make The Difference |
|
No matter how incredible they are, all good things must eventually come to an end, a sentiment reflected by the sports betting odds for the 2011 World Series. Despite all that they have overcome to reach the big stage, the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals are heavy underdogs against the American League champion Texas Rangers, as the latter looks to avenge a loss to the San Francisco Giants in last year’s baseball finale. Texas Rangers – 165 St. Louis Cardinals + 145 There really is little pay head doubt that the Cardinals deserve to represent the NL, especially considering that they beat both the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers to get here. If those two series’ proved anything it is that anything can happen in any given series, and just because a team doesn’t appear to have what it takes on paper there are too many intangibles to write them off. However, heading in to this series it appears as though the Rangers have a couple of distinct advantages that should make the difference. While the two teams have strong starting rotations, the Texas offense and bullpen is simply loaded in comparison to St. Louis. The work that Neftali Feliz and Alexi Ogando have done in relief has been incredible and cannot be matched by the Cardinals, while the fact that ALCS MVP Nelson Cruz is batting seventh for the Rangers is testament to their depth. The Cardinals have put together an impressive MLB story just getting to the World Series, but like all good things, it appears as though Texas will bring it to an end. |
